Research in Law Enforcement Selection is a book containing meta-analyses of the major predictors of police performance.  Included in the book are meta-analyses of cognitive ability, education, military experience, personality inventories (e.g., MMPI, CPI, PAI, IPI, 16PF), interest inventories, interviews, assessment centers, and clinical judgment.

Law Enforcement Selection: Research Summaries is a book containing summaries of over 330 studies on police selection.  These studies were used in the meta-analyses conducted for Research in Law Enforcement Selection. A PDF copy of this book (close to 500 pages) is available online without cost.
